Welcome to La Jolla de Mismaloya! We hope you will feel comfortable and enjoy your stay, however there are a few house rules we would ask that you respect.

Smoking – There is no smoking of any kind permitted in this condo…tobacco, electronic cigarettes, or any other substance. Should you smoke, there are designated smoking areas away from the common areas. Please inquire at the front desk.

Courtesy Items – Some of our owners do leave courtesy items in their units for your use. These may include condiments, toiletries, paper towels, batteries for remotes, light bulbs, etc. Please feel free to use them; however, we do ask you replenish, especially if supplies are getting low. We liken it to being a ‘good camper’ (akin to leaving kindling and firewood for the next camper).

Furniture – Please take care not to sit on the furniture with wet bathing suits or when wearing suntan products. As this is a tropical climate, it plays havoc with upholstery under these conditions.

Balconies – Please do not hang any items such as towels from the balcony railings. It is unsightly when viewed from the pool deck and against the condominium by-laws. You can exchange your beach towels at reception.

Common area pool deck and seating areas – Chairs and loungers are not to be reserved and then not used for several hours. Please take your belongings with you when you leave the area, even if it’s just to go for lunch. If not, you may find that security has removed them upon your return.

Please respect the signage posted at the pool regarding use of the pool and Jacuzzi. Children must be accompanied by responsible adult and always supervised.

Garbage/Trash – If your garbage can is full, you may deposit the contents in the recycle and garbage bins in the common hallways. Please do not leave bags by these areas. If they don’t fit in the bin, then try a different one.

Maid/linen service – The maid is there to clean the bathrooms, windows if needed, dust, clean countertops, sweep, wash the floors and to change the linens. It is not her job to do your dishes.

Neighbours – Please be kind to your neighbours. Please keep music and TVs at a reasonable level, especially in the evening. Take care not to slam sliding doors, screen doors or the entrance doors to the condo.

Damage or items requiring maintenance – It’s very important to notify us if you break or damage any items in the condo. If there is something requiring maintenance, also please let us know.

Day of Departure –

As the unit may not be scheduled for cleaning on your day of departure, please remove all garbage to the garbage cans in the common hallways. Also, please remove any foodstuffs from the refrigerator. (For example, leftovers, fruit, vegetables.) Alternatively, you could give them to housekeeping to share amongst the staff.
Should the refrigerator have an automatic icemaker, we would appreciate it if you emptied the ice, and turn the icemaker off, especially if there are no incoming guests.
Clean the coffeemaker by emptying the coffee grounds and rinsing the basket and carafe. It’s nasty if future guests arrive to mouldy coffee grounds.
Wipe out oven and microwave.
Do not leave dirty dishes. The maids do not do dishes.
